Barcelona Rock Fest 2024

Barcelona Rock Fest concluded its eighth edition with over 50,000 attendees and a memorable lineup that delivered magical moments, such as performances by Pantera -with Phil Anselmo in exceptional form and highly engaged with the audience- Deep Purple, W.A.S.P, Europe, Warcry, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, El Drogas, and many more bands.

Over three days of pure rock devotion, the festival once again treated us to incredible live shows and unforgettable memories for all fans of this musical genre. This year, more than ever, the festival has proven that the future and growth of rock are more than secure. As evidence, Barcelona Rock Fest featured performances by acclaimed artists in the current metal scene, such as the australians Parkway Drive, who closed the festival with an explosive display of pyrotechnics and rock at its finest. Other standout acts included the Mexican band The Warning, the stoner rock of Wolfmother, and The Baboon Show, one of the most impeccable and energetic live acts, thanks to the powerful stage presence of their vocalist, Cecilia Boström.

In 2025, Barcelona Rock Fest promises to return with an impressive lineup on dates that have already been announced: June 26th to 29th in Can Zam, Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona). So stay tuned for all the incredible surprises coming up in the next edition.

Barcelona Rocks 2023

 

Barcelona Rocks 2023 became a festival that, due to the construction work at Can Zam park, served as a stopgap and bridge, filling the void left by the city’s iconic festival.

More than 3,000 people gathered at the Sant Jordi Club in Montjuïc to enjoy performances by Scorpions, Saxon, Angelus Apatrida, and Eclipse. Although it wasn’t the best year for Barcelona Rock Fest, the event is already promising an even grander edition next year, aiming to secure its place as one of Spain’s top festivals, having hosted legendary rock bands over its seven editions.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2022 exceeded expectations despite the prior uncertainty and last-minute lineup changes. The festival took place on June 30 and July 1 and 2, 2022.

The event featured a wide range of memorable performances, from Jinjer and Accept to Alice Cooper, including bands like Nightwish, Crisix, Angelus Apatrida, Doro, and Avantasia, added to the lineup at the last minute. The surprise reunion of Mercyful Fate also made a big impact.

The energy and excitement remained high throughout the festival, with standout performances by Blind Guardian, Megadeth, Judas Priest, and a spectacular closing show by Kiss. In short, Barcelona Rock Fest 2022 was a resounding success, leaving fans thrilled and satisfied.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2019

The sixth edition of Rock Fest Barcelona was once again held at Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet from July 4 to 7, 2019, with an exceptional extension to four days.

The event featured an impressive lineup of internationally renowned bands, such as Def Leppard, ZZ Top, King Diamond, W.A.S.P., Demons & Wizards, Michael Schenker Fest, Saxon, and Dream Theater, among others. The festival offered a diverse and exciting musical experience for attendees, spread across the two main stages and the Rock Tent, where both national and international bands performed. In addition to live music, the festival also featured a variety of food options through food trucks and a merchandise area with vinyl and t-shirt shops.

This edition further cemented Barcelona Rock Fest‘s position as one of the most important rock events in the region.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2018

The fifth edition of the festival took place from July 5 to 7, 2018, and marked the event’s consolidation both in terms of programming and audience attendance.

In addition to live music, the festival featured a Food Truck area, along with a Merchandise area offering records, t-shirts, and a wide variety of festival-related products. The lineup included notable names such as Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Kiss, Scorpions, and the reunion of Helloween, among others, delivering a diverse and exciting musical experience to attendees on the main stage and the Rock Tent.

The first day of the festival stood out with performances by Amaranthe, Uriah Heep, Judas Priest, and Ozzy Osbourne, while the second day featured Lacuna Coil, Mägo de Oz, Dimmu Borgir, and Helloween, among others. The third day included bands like Megadeth, Kiss with the BCN Rock Orchestra, Scorpions, and more, offering an exciting conclusion to this established edition of the festival.

The festival took place from June 30 to July 2, 2017, and stood out for giving more prominence to the third stage in the Rock Tent, which hosted more performances under its roof.

In addition to live music, the event offered a Food Truck area that catered to the culinary tastes of the attendees. A merchandise area was also set up with vinyl records, CDs, t-shirts, and a wide variety of festival-related items, allowing fans to purchase exclusive souvenirs and products while enjoying performances by bands such as Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Queensrÿche, Alice Cooper, Saxon, Sepultura, Running Wild, Avantasia, Emperor, S.A., and many others, both national and international.

This edition provided a diverse and exciting musical experience, as well as opportunities to enjoy the festival’s food and merchandise options.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2016

This third edition of the festival took place from July 15 to 17, 2016, and stood out for the inclusion of a third stage, the Rock Tent, to accommodate more attendees. The Motörtent was set up in tribute to Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead, who was scheduled to perform but passed away months earlier.

The lineup included bands such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Twisted Sister, King Diamond, Whitesnake, Anthrax, and Barón Rojo, among other notable national and international acts, offering attendees a wide variety of live music throughout the event.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2015

In its second edition, the festival was held on July 23, 24, and 25, 2015, and stood out for its twin stage setup with two platforms, covering an area of about 1,600m². This allowed for numerous bands to perform with quick transitions between acts.

Attendees enjoyed performances from renowned groups such as Scorpions, Europe, Accept, Judas Priest, Dream Theater, and Nightwish, among other national and international bands.

Barcelona Rock Fest 2014

The festival took place on July 4 and 5, 2014, with two stages: the main stage, known as the Main Stage, and a smaller stage called the Rock Tent.

Manowar headlined the event, which also featured standout performances by bands such as Twisted Sister, Gamma Ray, Kreator, and Sabaton, who performed on the Main Stage.

In the Rock Tent, bands like Napalm Death, Ktulu, Alyanza, and Mean Machine performed, offering attendees a diverse selection of live music during the first edition of the festival.
